About the Project

The Traverse Wind Energy Center is an opportunity to boost the local economy of Custer and Blaine Counties and create jobs, all while generating clean, American made energy. This project will provide enough sustainable energy to power 300,000 American homes and will serve American Electric Power (AEP) customers.

This 998 MW wind project is located on private land north of Weatherford.
